Teak Decking Alternative - Artificial Teak Decks - Teak Decking Material

Natural Wood Teak is the best that Mother Nature has to offer in this area. The fact that it splits, breaks, splinters, cracks and creaks, we call charm.

The fact that it’s starting to become unaffordable and unpredictable pricewise, we call luxurious.

The fact that it demands constant attention and maintenance, well, it keeps us busy.

And the fact that it is becoming increasingly rare, we ignore. Because there is no alternative - Well this is no longer the case.
The good news is that things can change. We don’t have to have splits, splinters or creaks.

Volvo Ocean Race

The latest edition of the Volvo Ocean Race involves 6 teams, 9 offshore legs, 10 official ports and at least 39,270 nautical miles of sailing (escorted detours to avoid pirates not included). But it remains, above all, about dual identity.

DEK-KING Synthetic Teak Decking material - also known as Artificial teak

The material used for DEK-KING® is of an outdoor grade PVC that is UV stabilized and contains a colour fast pigment and inbuilt graining effect that is totally convincing and will therefore retain its classic looks for many years. Combined with the integral dark caulking edge the result will look like
a traditional craftsman laid deck. We are aware of how small the boating community is so we know how important it is to exceed the expectations of each and every customer. We strive to turn every new customer into an advertisement for our us and the products we sell.

After racing over 600 miles, the J/122 Artie crossed the finish line at 15.22 CEST, eight minutes in front of Jaru Team EC, a J/133, and, in doing so, was the first Maltese boat home. That finish also put the local entry, co-skippered by Lee Satariano and Christian Ripard, ahead of Rán (GBR) as overall handicap leader.

Rolex Middlesea Race - Day 3

Much like a playbook for the Rolex Middle Sea Race, forty-eight hours into the race and the fleet has encountered all of the challenges and conditions that tacticians and navigators had anticipated well before the race start. The 606-nautical mile course around Sicily is notorious for its changeable conditions, and local anomalies in wind, current, and weather. Many competitors work out a game plan that breaks the course into several parts – each with its own challenges.

Victory Team Arif Al Zafeen and Nadir bin Hendi completed a perfect weekend by winning both rounds of the Class 1 Italian Grand Prix at Cernobbio on Lake Como.

The result not only pushes them further ahead in the 2011 world offshore championship, but it also handed them the European Championship title for the second consecutive year.

Victory Team dominated the fleet from the start in the final round to move 50 seconds ahead of the nearest boat, Team Abu Dhabi.

Lates Rolex Middlesea Race news - Day 2

Heading towards sunset on Sunday evening and a handful of boats in the 2011 Rolex Middle Sea Race fleet have found themselves facing the ultimate drawbridge, the Strait of Messina. With the current having turned adverse, any boats still south of the Strait will need enough wind to get them through – and fortunately for most, there has been more wind than forecast. Otherwise, they’ll find the door shut – until the tide turns favourable again.
