Question: How do I place an order?
Answer: The first step is to visit our Synthetic Decking Products Page and select the items required. After receiving your enquiry, we go through the items selected and make sure you have enough material to cover the area required. If we think that you need to change anyting, we will contact you and offer you our advice. When we confirm which items are required, we will work out for you the size and weight of the shipment and contact our shipper to get a shipping quote for you. As soon as we receive the quote, we will forward it to you. The shipping quote will include all necessary details including estimated delivery times.
Question: Which payment options do you accept?
Answer: We accept Bank to Bank transfer and Paypal Payments in advance, although Paypal payments will incure an additional charge to cover our paypal fees.
Question: You are so far away how can we trust you?
Answer: We are a VAT Registred entity in Malta and our VAT number is MT1980-8836. Malta is a member of the European Union. You can validate our VAT registration by visiting the following European Union website: http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/ , Furthermore, we urge you to visit our Testimonials page. The people who left their testimonial can be verified on request. We would be more than happy to supply their contact details.
Question: Do you ship to my address?
Answer: Most probably we do. We ship to most Countries. Please contact us for further infomation.
Question: Do I have to pay Any VAT / Duty Taxes when importing your product ?
Answer: If you live outside the European Union, we do not charge VAT or DUTY, but you might be liable for Duty / Taxes on your side. The best thing is to check with your local customs department.
Question: I am VAT Regsitred in the European Union, will you still charge me VAT?
Answer: No, if you are VAT registred in an EU country, we will not charge you VAT when shipping, but you would still have to pay VAT in your coutry.
Question: I live in an EU country but I do not have a VAT number. How much VAT will you charge me?
Answer: The VAT Rate in Malta is 18% – and this is the rate that we will apply to your order.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions – DEK-KING DECKING
Question: I have just had DEK-KING® fitted to my cockpit. What products should I use clean it ? Answer: DEK-KING® is a maintenance free decking product. Marks can be cleaned off using hot soapy water or by a high pressure washer. Never use ACETONE or THINNER as these will melt the product and spoil the looks. Scratches can be removed by light sanding with 40, or 60 grit sandpaper.
Question: Does the caulking come in different colours?
Answer: Yes, DEK-KING artificial teak comes comes with either white or black caulking.
Question: Do the panels tolerate ice, snow and strong heat over the years?
Answer: Yes, our product tolerates ice, snow or strong heat and will not be damaged if exposed to these conditions.
Question: Is your synthetic teak slippery when wet?
Answer: NO, DEK-KING® offers superb traction, much better than non-skid patterns molded into the fiberglass. It actually offers a little more traction when it is wet than when it is dry. Many of our customers have purchased DEK-KING® simply for it’s non-slip properties, especially on swim platforms.
Question: Does DEK-KING® get hot in the sun?
Answer: DEK-KING® will get warmer than a white fiberglass deck due to its darker color. Temperatures compare to that of a real teak wood decking. As most boaters who are used to southern summers already know, spraying a teak deck with water will cool it down without fear of making it slippery. The same technique works great with DEK-KING®.
Question: What is DEK-KING® made of ? Do you combine natural wood with the material ?
Answer: There is no wood content in our product. DEK-KING® It is made of High Grade P.V.C and contains quality pigments and U.V. stabilizers, ensuring it keeps its appearance for decades. The main advantages are: Easy care, no oiling or sanding, does not crack, does not rot or fade.
Question: Can I install DEK-KING® myself?
Answer: YES, DEK-KING® comes in various extrusions that make it simple for the average handyman to lay a deck. See our online installation guide for more information.
Question: How is DEK-KING® attached to the deck?
Answer: DEK-KING® is installed using a single part adhesive specially formulated for marine use. The adhesive is troweled on to the deck using a notched spreader and the DEK-KING® material is bed in place using a flooring roller.
Question: What do I need to do to my decks before installation?
Answer: The decks need to be clean and free of any dirt, grease or wax. A good cleaning with Acetone or Denatured alcohol usually does the trick.
Question: How hard is it to make a usable template of my boat?
Answer: It is not hard at all. You just need some patience. We prefer to use a clear Mylar or Polyester film to trace the edges with a permanent marker. Then just roll it up and contact us for instructions to send it to us.
Question: What is the most cost effective of installing DEK-KING®?
Answer: The most economical way is to purchse the required material and install it yourself.

DEK-King Teak has a lighter color in its original form, than other PVC materials. PVC synthetic materials darken with age. Dek-King decided to produce a lighter color material, so that in its aged condition the final product is closer to a natural teak. It has been a criticism of the first PVC decking materials that they got too dark, which is the opposite to teak, which actually gets lighter with age.
The tongue & groove profiles of our dek-king decking material is designed for ease of alignment which makes for easy application. Taking two profiles and pushing them together the tongue & groove will come together very easily and no forcing is required. As Dek-King is easy to join and easy to handle it makes sense that installation is easy. A sharp knife is all that is required to cut and no heavy lumber machinery is needed. Dek-king comes in various plank sizes, The most commonly used, The 2? (50mm) planks come with Black or White caulking strips. The tongue and groove system provides easy installation that makes an average handyman look like a professional craftsman.
Dek-king is made of specially formulated flexible PVC. This durable material contains non-migrating plasticizers, the highest UV protection, and anti-fungal agents to ensure that your decking installation will look great for a very long time. Our decking material has no wood or cork content which would deteriorate over time.
How is Dek-king attached to my boat deck? We supply a very effective one-part adhesive. This glue is applied to the deck and spread with a spatula which we will supply . Then the decking material is laid in place and smoothed out with a roller.
Teak Decks on boats are a luxury these days. Composite teak decking has become a symbol of a good quality boat, not a form of construction. Dek-King is fully UV Stabilised and it does not fade, crack or rot like real teak does. Red wine and fish blood rinse off easily without staining. It has non slip qualities even when wet and is lighter and cheaper than real teak wood. The product is now also available as a DIY kit as no special welding tools are required to join the profiles together
